La Bella Cucina was founded in 1998 when the Rossi family emigrated from Naples with two suitcases and a box of hand-written recipes from Nonna Maria. What started as a 12-seat trattoria in De Waterkant has grown into Cape Town's most beloved Italian dining destination.

Today, three generations of the Rossi family welcome guests with the same warmth and the same dedication to ingredients — San Marzano tomatoes flown in weekly, 00 flour milled in Napoli, and Parmigiano aged no less than 24 months.
